YTL Communications Sdn Bhd Names Wing K. Lee Chief Executive Officer

Kuala Lumpur, 4th November 2009 – YTL Communications Sdn Bhd today announced the appointment of Wing K. Lee as Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Lee will oversee the deployment of the first-ever nationwide 4G-service that will bring a high-fidelity Internet experience to the masses. In this capacity, he will be instrumental in advancing the company's mission to provide affordable, world-class quality products and services that improve the way people in Malaysia learn, work and play.

"With his nearly twenty years in wireless innovation and command of the latest global technologies, Wing is ideally suited to take the helm at YTL Communications during this exciting time."

A pioneer in wireless technologies and specifically WiMAX, prior to joining YTL this fall Mr. Lee led next-generation mobile Internet device development at Clearwire. Earlier, he spent 15 years at Sprint Nextel, where he held senior management positions driving product development for the Company's WiMAX division. He also founded and managed Sprint's Technology Innovation Program, and led Enterprise Architecture for the launch of the first nationwide wireless data network in the U.S.

For his distinguished accomplishments, Mr. Lee received two of Sprint Nextel's top honors – the Leadership Excellence Award (2005) and the Technology Leadership Award (2001). He also holds nine U.S. Patents and was recognized as the Asian American Engineer of the Year during the 2002 U.S. National Engineers Week.

A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Mr. Lee also holds an Executive Certificate in Management and Leadership from MIT's Sloan School of Management.
