IMS (VoIP) Engineer / Senior IMS Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Technical document review and provide recommendation
  • Ensure projects are executed according to telecom industry quality, architectural, and security standards
  • Manage project documentation, including project statements, resource requirements, test requirements, test case, performance metrics, and project plans
  • Prioritise project schedule and monitor IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) network projects
  • Report status and issues
  • Report/Test Report analysis
  • Participate in engineering review panels
  • Interprets network diagrams and documentation, prepares understandable engineering drawings, tables, and documentation to standard Coordinate with Central Admin on incoming/outgoing mails, correspondences, etc
  • Conduct equipment Performance Acceptance Test (PAT) and Final Acceptance Test (FAT) with vendors and/or contractors
  • Perform network capacity planning design and analysis of IMS (VoIP) system and core/backbone networks
  • Verify key performance and quality indicators, evaluate vendors for core voice and data network architecture
  • Perform operations, administration, maintenance and provisioning process responsibilities for Network Operation Centre (NOC)
  • Monitor the overall integrity of the network and IMS architecture
  • Interact with finance and billing teams to regularly monitor timely and correct billings, other finance-related activities
  • Responsibilities will periodically include Level 1 support for operational issues for VoIP, traditional voice and data systems

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Professional Degree in Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years related working experience
  • Minimum 7 years related working experience for Senior Engineer
  • Knowledge in telecommunication breadth/depth is a must
  • Experience in VoIP and wireless technologies (WiFi, WiMAX, Microwave) is an added advantage
  • Experience in portfolio and configuration of VoIP products & concepts including Interconnect (SMS, MMS, Voice, IP) and Value Added Services added advantage
  • Good knowledge in Convergence (VOIP, video conferencing, H.323, SIP), Inbound & Outbound Voice Routing, Protocols (SIP, Diameter, RTP, MSRP, SNMP etc), Physical design (power, cooling, racks, cabling) and Linux, Microsoft Windows/Unix (Solaris)/firewall background

  • Good spoken English is a must
  • A good team player and willing to work long hours if needed
